Public Evidence Register · Reviewed June 2026

How the Vacation® culture mappings were supported.

This companion document traces each framework claim in the culture audit back to the sources that informed it. The goal is not to flatten the analysis into certainty. It is to show which claims are documented, which are supported inferences, and where the public record still goes quiet.

Framework Mapping Console

Select a map. Audit the trail.

Each framework panel lists the mapping, the evidence that moved the interpretation, and the claims that remain hypotheses rather than verified internal facts.

Crosswalk

Which evidence informed which mapping?

The same source can support multiple readings. Orange Gelée, for example, informs Schein's tacit assumption, Goffee & Jones solidarity, and the Level 4 design maturity claim.

Source Ledger

Ranked by what each source can responsibly prove.

Research Boundary

What the public record cannot prove.

Unknown

Employee experience

The audit can infer public brand culture and hiring expectations, but it cannot verify pace, psychological safety, compensation practices, or everyday autonomy without employee testimony or internal observation.

Unknown

Process maturity

Level 4 design maturity is supported by public outcomes. Level 5 would require proof that research systems, decision rights, and design authority are distributed beyond founder taste.

Caution

Customer love is not culture proof

Community advocacy supports brand reception, not internal culture. Enthusiast threads are included only as weak signals for language, ritual, and product experience.

Caution

Contradictions stay visible

The analysis keeps regulatory and scale-pressure counter-signals in view because they sharpen the mapping. Playful innovation is the advantage and the risk surface.
